Barack Obama was elected president of the U.S. with a lot of help, not only from the cheerleading liberal news media, but with the financial support of some business leaders.

But now some of those businesses leaders are feeling duped, according to Investor’s Business Daily: “Fortune 500 leaders who believed Obama’s moderate rhetoric, and even raised cash and voted for him, have soured on him. They now believe he’s bad for business and hostile to the American free enterprise system.”

President Barack Obama attended a live, one-hour town hall on CNBC today. A number of issues were raised by the host, John Harwood, which Obama had well-briefed answers for. But when the hand-picked friendly public was finally allowed to pose a few questions, they turned out to be not so nice. One woman, who admitted to not only voting for Obama in 2008 but “defending” him as well, told the president that she is part of the middle class he had promised to help but she is not seeing any. She’s “feeling the pinch” and asked Obama “Is this my new reality?”

Obama responder to her buyer’s remorse claiming that the country was headed in the right direction. I suppose he might have meant that we are temporally headed towards that moment in time when he will be out of office. But I suspect given his earlier chat with the host that Obama actually thinks that America is recovering economically. After all, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, the recession ended in June of 2009. So what’s the problem?

Another supporter, one of those young student youth-vote types, then told Obama about his difficulties in finding a good job and paying his student loans. He asked Obama if the “American Dream was dead?” Obama again responded that we’re still in good shape and all is well…
