Chavez Silencing Opposition - Obama Following Suit

Venezuelan radio stations have been falling like pins in a bowling alley. Dictator Hugo Chavez has deposed 32 independent radio stations thus far. Globovision is the sole remaining independent and its employees are fearing for their lives, literally. After commenting that Hugo Chavez might end up “hanging” like Mussolini, editor Rafael Poleo had to flee the country. He is not the only one associated with Globovision on the run from Venezuelan authorities.

Disturbingly, we see Barack Obama emulating Hugo Chavez in many ways. Leading the way is combating dissenting voices, apparently now on the horizon with the appointment of Federal Communications Commission Diversity Czar Mark Lloyd, who openly praises Chavez calling his brutal dictatorship an “incredible revolution.” Disconcerting to say the least, as one survey indicates that over 55% of journalists reported recent verbal threats and/or physical attacks from Chavez thugs.
