With no signs of bipartisanship nor support from the Democrats on Capitol Hill, and the public waning, it looks as if Obamacare is hobbling towards the finish line.  The question is will Obamacare be FINISHED before crossing the line.

Yet Obama and his minions once again refuse to consider the will of the American taxpaying citizens (those who actually pay federal income tax) and the economic realities of their socialized, rationing healthcare plan.  The head of the nonpartisan, Congressional Budget Office (CBO), had these words for Congress:

Yet the White House and Democratic leaders in Congress appear undaunted in their efforts to ram through sweeping reform legislation in record time, even as the head of the Congressional Budget Office told Congress that the bills would worsen the federal government’s already bleak budget outlook.

Worse still, the CBO said the bills won’t meet the president’s promise of reducing health costs over the long term, saying instead the legislation would “significantly increase” costs.

With the great majority of the American taxpaying citizens opposed to having money taken from their pockets to pay the medical bills of others (a detriment to their own family’s well-being), even Democrats in the House and Senate are shying away from Obama’s plans for socialized medicine.  They know their political futures are ‘on-the-line’ as the 2010 midterm elections approach and the American taxpaying citizens will not hesitate to send them packing.

The Republicans have shown solidarity in opposition to Obamacare and this has been reassuring to the American taxpaying citizens.  In the GOP’s weekly address, Arizona Senator John Kyl, echoed the sentiments of many:

“It would empower Washington — not doctors and patients — to make health care decisions and would impose a new tax on working families during a recession,” Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl said in the GOP’s weekly address. “They propose to pay for this new Washington-run health care system by dramatically raising taxes on small business owners.”

“These changes do not require government takeover of the health care system, or massive new spending, job-killing taxes or rationing of care,” he said, seeking to string together the biggest fears of Obama’s plan to challenge the popular president.
