$3,000 Sales Tax on Your Electric Bill is Just the Start

Sunday Paper - March 29th, 2009
On Capitol Hill Wednesday, Senator Judd Gregg (R) NH, reconfirmed the obvious, President Obama’s fiscal orgy will have dire consequences, economically impairing Americans for generations to come. Gregg echoed the sentiments of the financially responsible saying the Obama budget “spends too much, taxes too much, and borrows too much.” We are also made aware of a national sales tax on our electric bill which will average more than $3,000 per U.S. household (you’ll hear this as you view the first video).
“In the next five years, President Obama’s budget will double the national debt. In the next 10 years, it will triple the national debt,” said Gregg.
“His budget assumes the deficit will average $1 trillion every year for the next 10 years and will add well over $9 trillion in new debts to our children’s backs,” said Gregg, the top Republican on the Senate Budget Committee. “He also is proposing the largest tax increase in history, much of it aimed at taxing small business people who have been, over the years, the best job creators in our economy.”
Concerning Obama’s proposed plans, Gregg said they ”represent an extraordinary move of our government to the left.”
“It is the individual American who creates prosperity and good jobs, not the government.”
“We believe that you create energy independence not by sticking Americans with a brand new national sales tax on everyone’s electric bill, but by expanding the production of American energy… while also conserving more.”
“We also believe you improve everyone’s health care not by nationalizing the health care system and putting the government between you and your doctor, but by assuring that every American has access to quality health insurance and choices in health care.”
Gregg reminded Americans that the U.S. “has an exceptional history of one generation passing on to the next generation a more prosperous and stronger country, but that tradition is being put at risk.”
Obama’s budget incurs debt in his first five years (hopefully he’ll be a one-termer) that more than doubles all debt incurred by previous U.S. Presidents combined. So enjoy sitting in your home with your winter coat on or in your underwear (depending on the season) as our country goes bankrupt. And try to not think too much about your children’s future, it is still unclear if antidepressants will be covered under universal health care.
Here Gregg, tells truth starved CNN viewers that Obama’s radical agenda will bankrupt our country.
