obama no 4 x on born alive Obama to Overturn Abortion Rule

Last month we learned that Barack Obama will be spending our families’ (i.e. taxpayers and their families’) money on the funding of overseas abortions.  Now, just days laters, we learn of a second assault on the lives of the innocent.  President Obama’s administration announced late Friday afternoon (convenient timing of course) that they are in the process of “reviewing” the conscience clause.

Proposed by the Bush administration last August and effective on January 20th, 2009 was the Provider Refusal Rule.  The rule was an expansion on a 30 year old law which protected health-care professionals unwilling to perform abortions because of moral objection, a “conscience clause” if you will. Let’s defer to the president of Family Research Council, Tony Perkins for more.

Should an individual have to choose between a health care profession and their moral convictions about human life?  That is exactly what the Conscious Regulations are about.  Where is the choice in this “pro-choice” administration?”

“President Obama’s intention to change the language of these protections would result in the government becoming the conscience and not the individual. It is a person’s right to exercise their moral judgment, not the government’s to decide it for them.”

Protecting the right of all health-care providers to make professional judgments based on moral convictions and ethical standards is foundational to federal law and is necessary to ensure that access to health care is not diminished, which will occur if health-care workers are forced out of their jobs because of their ethical stances.”

In the same vein, American Life League president Judie Brown is outraged.

“It’s frightening, and it should be frightening to people of all stripes.” Brown said.

“It’s not surprising to anybody who is familiar with Obama’s basic philosophy, …he doesn’t want anything to stand in the way of child-killing, including a person’s right under the law to say, ‘No, I will not do that because it is unethical.’”

“… he will do this, in an effort to force people, especially Christians, into the untenable position of either having to provide an abortion, or get out of their profession.  This is just the next step.”

This should however come as no surprise for those of us who follow such things and aware of Barack Obama’s chilling record on abortion.  Former diplomat and three-time Presidential candidate Alan Keyes paints a harrowing description of Obama’s “cold-blooded, ruthless ideology.”

The video below is of a nurse who witnessed born-alive babies being left out to die and testified before a U.S. House Committee.  She details the horror of ”induced labor abortions” and speaks of the state of Illinois issuing birth certificates and death certificates just hours apart.  Furthermore, she reminds us that while the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act passed unanimously in the U.S. Senate 98-0, with even the most staunch Democrat pro-abortionists voting in favor of the bill, Barack Obama opposed the bill three times (four times now).  She concludes by echoing the sentiments of the great majority of humanity, saying infanticide is indefensible.  Can you believe that Barack Obama calls himself a Christian?

I must warn you that this video is gut-wrenching.
