obama oath 300x168 Congrats Obama Its All Downhill from Here

With so many in a tizzy yesterday, it is obvious that expectations for President Obama are through the roof.  A majority of people surveyed in a USA Today/Gallup Poll said Obama will be able to achieve all 10 of his campaign promises.  Furthermore, 70% of those surveyed foresee an improved nation at the conclusion of Obama’s four year term.  70% also say it is “very important” to them personally that he makes good on those promises.

Please keep in mind that Obama won only 52% of the popular vote, yet in an Associated Press-GfK poll 65% of people surveyed said Obama would be “above average” or better, with 28% saying he will be “outstanding” as president.  Contrast this with Reagan, who in 1980 won in a landslide yet a Gallup Poll showed only 51% of respondents saying he would be a good or great president.

With 46% voting against Obama, we know there are still plenty of conservatives in America.  If things go from bad to worse under Obama, then we will see evidence of this as soon as the 2010 mid-term elections.
